Overview

Thank you for taking the time to inquire about our residency program. This website was designed to provide additional detailed information focusing on the radiology residency program for prospective applicants. Additional information regarding the department can be found here. The Mount Sinai Medical Center Department of Radiology residency is a fully accredited four year ACGME advanced program. There are a total of 20 residents with 5 appointments accepted per year via the NRMP match process. Our program is dedicated to producing excellent clinical radiologists with training and education provided in all subspecialties and in all imaging modalities. Graduates are well prepared for both academic and private practice.

Mount Sinai Medical Center is a 672-bed hospital and the primary healthcare facility in Miami Beach, FL with multiple satellite campuses throughout the Miami area. Our health system is rapidly expanding with a new emergency department and surgical tower under construction as well as multiple new satellite facilities coming online. This growth brings us a high volume of cases and a broad diversity of pathology which is only expected to increase in the years to come. As part of ongoing construction to our hospital, our department has recently finished complete renovations of our reading rooms, conference room, resident lounge and on-call facilities.

Our residents acquire a broad knowledge of diagnostic medical imaging through training at the workstation as well as in daily case conferences and lectures. There is a recurring 2 year didactic curriculum in place which is designed to cover the essentials of each subspecialty. All residents will rotate at Nicklaus Children's Hospital (previously Miami Children's Hospital) for experience in pediatric imaging and also attend the month long AIRP course in Washington DC.
